MahaVastu believes that the universe is conscious and full of desires. One each such desire wrapped in five layers creates a human being which is just a by-product of bliss or enjoyment or anand. So, one is always in search of anand, through fulfilment of different desires. We make structures, basically, to manifest that core purpose or desire. If  we properly manifesting our  core purpose then money, power, comfort and health come to us as by-products, along with the joy.

Pain indicates deviation from the core purpose for which the birth was taken, namely deviation from the natural flow. Restoring that flow makes us free of pain. MahaVastu provides us the tools and techniques to work with the universal consciousness and thus achieve the purpose of our life.

Law of the Universe

The Law of the Universe says that the world is created out of the experience of joy. The universe is conscious and full of joy. The vedic alchemy of space says that to experience itself the universal consciousness (param atma) created the world, which is full of joy. Desire is ‘consciousness on a journey to joy’. Desire drives you and your life to experience joy, and thus creates a new world for you. In this process, joy creates the world. Even while experiencing joy, we are the creations of joy. Little wonder that we were created when our parents were passing through an experience of joy.

A part of universal consciousness (param atma) is human consciousness (atma/soul) wrapped in five layers (Panchkoshas) and manifested through five elements (Panchtattvas). 

Every soul has one common goal, that is, to experience joy. The paths may be different: someone wanted to experience the joy of flying and hence created airplanes; someone desired to experience more speed and created cars. Similarly, the whole is created in the joyous state of consciousness. The purpose of human birth is to experience joy by manifesting the core desire. As per Hindu philosophy, the soul will keep taking rebirth as long as it has not manifested its core purpose, for which it got separated from universal consciousness.

A problem or pain is an indication of deviation from its core purpose; for example, disease (means ‘not being at ease’) is a deviation from natural flow which is popularly known as health. Restoring the flow makes up pain-or disease-free. On the way to manifestation of our core purpose, we get money, power, comforts and health, as the by-products.

To experience joy or the Self, the universal consciousness created three things: 

1. Humans;
2. A cosmic clock, comprising the solar family within our galaxy amidst the cosmos, to keep time of the events;
3. A total manifestation ground, namely, the Earth, which is encircled with horizontal and vertical energy lines.

As soon as any part of consciousness takes birth as a soul (atma), it gets programmed as per the position of planets and stars at that  particular point of time. The chip (like the one present in a computer or mobile phone) carrying all that programmed information for our future is fed inside us as the deeper state of the human mind, also known as the subconscious mind. This  part of the mind is responsible for all the body functions and the life we are living right now. All events and situations in life are as per the movement of planets and stars.

Influence of Stars and Planets 

Stars and planets, the objects of the external space (universe), are responsible for programming your subconscious mind at the Manomaya Kosha level. This creates the life you are experiencing now.

Your purpose of life, your goals, your choices, inborn habits, inclinations of mind, your reference points of happiness and pain, your own philosophy of how you lead your life, are a few parts of that programming, among many more.

The movement of the stars and planets in their respective trajectories acts as a cosmic clock for timing the events in your life, and programming your subconscious mind. Man understood this secret 12,000 years ago. Since then he has been studying stars, planets, and their movements, in order to understand the ‘core (or true) purpose’ of his being on this planet. This has helped him manifest his core desire and experience eternal joy by focusing his attention and energies on his ‘true purpose’, exclusively.

Man has understood this fact very well: the cause of misery and pain lies in deviation from his core purpose. To keep himself aligned, man has been observing the stars for ages. That is how the development of vedic astrological system (jyotish) took place.

The word jyotish means ‘illuminated divine lights showing the true path’

In jyotish, the moon stands for the subconscious mind and Mercury is considered to stand for the ordinary conscious mind with analytical and reasoning faculties. Only in jyotish, the timing of events is worked out from the position of the moon at the time of birth. When the Moon's position is studied for seconds, minutes and degrees (120 degrees for 120 years), then a certain combination of all the planets gives an accurate timing of events. This calculation can be accurate to the hour for an event happening in one’s life. This system is known as-120 year situation method (Vimshottari Dasha Paddhati), given by eminent jyotish scholar Sage Parashar in the fifth century BC.

Vedic reishis (seers or mystics) decoded the mystery of life thousands of years ago. The most amazing part is that they mathematically derived the process of evolution for an individual, based  on planetary positions at birth, their transits and their programming for the subconscious mind. A deeper understanding is working out the evolution of chakras using the planetary position in the birth chart of an individual. In the application of MahaVastu, the birth chart is studied from this angle. The design of the building is then decided. Each individual horoscope is unique with its own purpose on the planet. Effect of Earth Energies

The Planet Earth is the manifestation ground for desires of universal consciousness (param atma) through human consciousness (atma). To manifest our purpose or the core desire, the nature, like a manager, facilitates all necessary powers and conditions

The earth is encircled with energy lines, both horizontally and vertically, thus creating energy grids. Vedic alchemists recognised them as mandalas. They went further in this discovery; they recognised the usage of an individual Mandala to fulfil a specific purpose.

In 1952, a German scientist, Manfred Curry, found these energy lines and termed them ‘Curry Lines’. His colleague Earnest Hartmann in 1967 found that diagonal patterns also existed and termed them as Hartmann Grid. They found that neurological disorders and cancers are due to sleeping on the crossing of these lines. He worked out that there are certain energy fields on the earth that are responsible for the healthy body or the diseased body.

Hartmann particularly collected the case studies, which showed that all the neurological problems are due to earth energies on the intersection of those lines. If people are sleeping on the intersection of those energy lines, then that person will have neurological problems or neurological disorders. If it is the only energy line that energy grid or the line crossing will be affected negatively. To remain healthy, it is recommended to avoid placements of all kind over such intersections of lines. 

As Hartmann said, problems are only due to sleeping over these energy lines, which are called marmasthan in MahaVastu. However, vastu shastra goes into much more detail. Hartmann developed certain methods to detect such earth energy lines and to avoid these intersections, negative fields will be created and negativity will be present in that space.

About 10,000 years back, vastu shastra avoided the marmasthans, the sensitive points. Hartmann was able to detect these earth energy lines on the earth only, but in MahaVastu we have those formulas to check the energy lines even in the built-up spaces.

You are a Five Layered Human Being 

           

A human being is a part of consciousness (atma wrapped in five layers known as Panchkoshas in vedanta. The layers are physical body (Annamaya Kosha), Energy body (Pranmaya Kosha), Mind body (Manomaya Kosha), Intuition body (Vigyanmaya Kosha), and joy body (Anandmaya Kosha).

The Anandmaya Kosha is part consciousness (atma) carrying the core desire with a purpose to manifest and experience joy. This innermost core-body of one’s being has a pure part of universal consciousness (param atma) experienced as eternal joy or bliss. Other functions of this Kosha (body) are co-creations like the creator himself: peak experience of super consciousness and sexual ecstasy (beyond normal sexual pleasure).

The Vigyanmaya Kosha is the second innermost layer. It is responsible for all the new knowledge and intuitive functioning of human beings. The other function of this Kosha are ordinary awareness for day-to-day intuitive working, which facilitates deciding what to do next and how to do it. Only from this kosha do you get intuitive solutions in intense situations, when  the logical mind is not able to answer your questions. The natural function of healing inside the human body is also governed by this Kosha.

Manomaya Kosha is the domain of functions of the human mind. This is the central layer among the five koshas. Its function is primarily to receive information through the five senses and process that information for manifestation of our core purpose. Manomaya Kosha has three sub-layers as recognised by contemporary psychologists. They are the conscious mind, subconscious mind and super conscious state of mind. In medical science, four states are studied in brain wave theory and are known as beta, alpha, theta and delta states of brain activity.

Through yogic or tantrik meditations, awareness is expanded to alpha, theta and delta brain wave patterns, where an ordinary human being falls asleep. This is when alpha waves are activated in the brain. In an experiment, EEG tests (Electro EncephaloGram: an instrument used to record brain waves) were done while meditators were in a meditative state. These EEG patterns actually showed alpha to delta brain wave patterns even while those meditators were in a fully aware state.

The conscious state of mind is responsible for perception through the five senses organs and then taking action via the Physical body to perform day to day functions. The subconscious mind receives information from the conscious mind and stores the complete information. In acute cases of emergency through regular meditative practice, the subconscious mind receives knowledge directly from the Vigyanmaya Kosha, which is called the ‘sixth sense’ or intuition. The deeper subconscious or super conscious state of mind is when a person is aware even at the theta and delta brain waves. In this state of mind, a person gives instant healing or some innovative outputs.

The Pranmaya Kosha is the energy body depicted by kundalini, sun and moon channels and seven chakras along the spinal column. Each one of the seven chakras is responsible for controlling different organs in the human body at the conscious and subconscious levels of mind. When awareness is extended to the super conscious state, then these chakras open up to perceive the new realities of the universe and start illuminating and healing all the body functions. In yogic literature, the level of illumination and opening of these chakras is the basis for measuring the state of evolution of an individual’s mind and soul.

Annamaya Kosha is the outermost and physical form of a human being - that is the human body. The Annamaya Kosha is made up of five elements (air, fire, earth, space, and water). It is nurtured and sustained by food (anna), that’s why this is called Annamaya Kosha. In ayurveda, disease is recognised as imbalance of tridoshas - vata (air+space), pitta (fire) and Kapha (water+earth). Through the physical body, consciousness (atma) manifests the core desire to experience absolute joy. However, due to the conditioning of social and academic environments, a person gets programmed at the levels of different Koshas, thus making him experience pain and miseries. To manifest one’s purpose on this planet, human beings create structures in the form of buildings to perform certain functions. These structures provide the living or working environment for them.

In the vedic alchemy of space, pain, misery and blockage of mind are due to the deviation from the core desire of one’s Anandmaya Kosha or Soul. The living environment is either supportive of negative conditioning and programming, thus causing problems in one’s life. In MaaVastu the points of blockages are recognised at the different layers of existence, thus creating a way for human consciousness to manifest its core purpose.

Energy Fields Influence Your Inner Self

Every building is governed by energy fields which are termed as devtas; these comprise a vital element of Mahavastu. Man makes structures and buildings to perform certain functions in a building. As soon as space is enclosed, it starts behaving as a scaled down model of the universe. Different energy fields emerge automatically. These fields react with human consciousness. They alter, blend and redirect consciousness as per their own attributes.

There are 45 such major energy fields in a building that control and influence consciousness, and 980 minor energy fields. These energy - fields are termed as devtas in Sanskriti. The meaning of the word dev is, ‘the one who is self-illuminating’. As per the property of the energy field, their names were derived. In a building, the combination of 45 devtas is called Vastu Purush Mandala; the one who carries all 45 energies fields is vastu dev. These 45 energy fields or devtas are mentioned in detail in vedas.

The presence of these devtas has been felt at a specific place in any building. Exactly the same form of energy (corresponding to a devta) gets developed in exactly the same portion or place or space, in a building, when it is constructed, forming a grid, which has been termed as Vastu Purush Mandala.

It’s really interesting to know the attributes of these fields. For example, Mahendra is a devta or presiding god of East and contains the power of controlling influence. Symbolically, Mahendra is considered as mind, the ruler of 5 physical senses. In a society, Mahendra represents the ruling power that connects and binds people together.

Yama is the god of absolute rest and power to bring any phenomenon to completion. Completion of one’s life on this planet is considered as death; so in vedic philosophy yama is perceived as the god of death also.Varun is the observer and controller of worldly affairs, the presiding devta of the West. Gods of all the seas on earth are also Varun. He is responsible for creating the governing protocols of the world.

Soma is a vedic god of elixir of life and presiding devta of the North zone. He also has properties of healing and sexual power. Transformation of sexual energy in elixir is governed by Soma. Budhar carries the power to manifest. Aryama has the power to connect with the world in order to (find a mating companion to) sustain the process of evolution. Viviswan controls the change, which in turn, initiates (Manifestation of) the whole existence.

Mitra, which has been invoked repeatedly in Atharveda, carries the power of holding the world together; and, Aapaha boosts your immune system. In vedic literature Aapaha is perceived as a power that is responsible for all the flows in the universe. Sometimes that very meaning comes very close to the flow of a river. So Aapaha is responsible for preserving the flow of life by empowering the immune system.

Now you can imagine why you are the way you are!

Based on the understanding that various zones are controlled by various devtas, temples were designed so precisely that wish fulfillment was easy. One prayed and his wish was granted. Hindus, in the past, clearly defined the attributes of these energy fields; they developed the art of perfect placement of different activities to experience the peak performance in their actions. Based on this understanding, they made temples with such great precision so as to fulfill their wishes.

Harmann Grid

Named after its discoverer Dr. Ernst Hartmann, the Harmann grid consists of alternately charged positive and negative lines or walls of energy of approximately nine inch thickness and extending to a height of 60 to 600 feet. The grid is formed by lines oriented North-South oriented lines correspond to cold, slow acting energies and are responsible for cramps, humidity and all forms of rheumatism; while the lines running East-West are the hot, dry and rapidly acting energies that cause inflammations. The energies of the grid vary according to the rhythms of the seasons and movement of the planets and other celestial bodies.

The point where two of these lines cross is known as the Hartmann Knot. These ‘knots’ are geopathic zones and are known to cause chronic illness. Wherever these knots lie over subterranean water, the harmful effect is greatly amplified, to the extent of being carcinogenic. The area between the lines is a neutral zone.

What this means in terms of human life is that if we spend long hours over a Hartmann Knot, we, in all probability, will develop serious health problems. For example: if your bed is placed over a Hartmann Knot, you may experience sleeplessness; this can severely compromise the immunity system in your body leading to chronic illnesses; women may experience problems in conceiving. In case the Knot is right under your heart while you sleep-you could be a likely candidate for heart attacks. With an underground stream coinciding, the Knot would even become fatal.

Curry Grid 

A grid similar to the Hartmann grid was discovered by a Swiss doctor, Dr. Manfred Curry, and Dr. Wittmann. These lines are oriented South-East to North-West and South-West to North-East and are approximately three feet apart and about 30 inches thick. Like the Hartmann grid they are alternatively charged-positively and negatively. THe spot where two such lines cross is called a ‘Curry Crossing’.

Like the Hartmann Knot, the Curry Crossing too plays a role in our well being. A crossing formed by two negatively charged lines can cause sleep disorders, depression, inflammations and rheumatic diseases; therefore a work station over such a crossing could cause you to feel depressed and dissatisfied with your work-resulting in stress and emotional distress. The crossing formed by the intersection of two positively charged lines is largely responsible for cell enlargement and enhanced proliferation causing cancerous growth.

Schumann Waves 

Although these waves had been initially discovered by Nikola Tesla at the beginning of the last century; it was not until 1952 that a German physicist, Professor W.O. Schumann of the Technical University of Munich rediscovered the resonance frequency of the earth. The ionosphere surrounding the earth has electrically positive charge, whereas the earth’s surface is electrical tension created thus within the earth-ionosphere cavity is discharged during thunderstorms. Whenever energy between the ionosphere and the earth’s surface is discharged in this fashion, radio waves are produced, the frequencies of which are in resonance with the earth. These waves penetrate into the earth and also form very large standing waves which remain stable for long durations.

Experiments conducted by Professor Schumann and Dr. Herbert Konig revealed that the Schumann waves resonate at 7.83Hz, which corresponds to the resonance frequency of most mammals. Recent research has convinced scientists that the earth in fact resonates with more than one frequency. Today at least eight such frequencies have been identified-8, 14, 20, 26, 33, 39, 44 and 50Hz. The earth actually sings!

You may wonder why such a lot of attention is being paid to the earth singing. The fact is that these gentle vibrations are vital to the healing process of our bodies. The Schumann waves stimulate cell growth and healing of the soft tissues in the body. It has been noticed that wherever there is an absence of these waves, the occupant of that space would experience extreme emotional distress and harm to health so much so that healing would be inhibited. This has led NASA to incorporate devices that generate the Schumann waves in its modern spacecraft

How do Underground Energies Work?

Underground or subterranean streams of water, fault lines, underground cavities and certain mineral concentrations emit a natural are associated with geomagnetic anomalies and higher levels of Radon gas.Animals like dogs, cows and sheep and also sensitive people will avoid such places. Cats and ants, on the other hand, are attracted to such zones. Trees that grow over an underground stream are more prone to be hit by lightning and are more often than not either stunted or deformed.

Though these energies are natural and essential in the role that they play in nature, they are seen to have a harmful effect on us if we stay in such a spot for a long duration. Therefore, such geopathically stressed zones can lead to serious health problems and emotional and mental stress. They are known to be responsible for Chronic Fatigue Syndrome.

It has been observed that diseases like SIDS, cancer, multiple sclerosis, myalgic encephalitis or fibromyalgia occur in places where subterranean streams, cavities or faults coincide with Hartmann Knots or Curry Crossing.

Energy Fields

All the energy fields that are created on earth or in space are pulsating. They are thereby creating some effect; also they are connected to each and every field on the planet. If we identify a field at a certain point and place something (on the basis of elements) in it then we can control not only that field but also other energy fields which are at similar frequency. Because by some or the other means (particularly, Vigyanmaya Kosha and Manomaya Kosha) we are connected to and working with those fields and energy lines.

In India, the system (tantra) which was developed to influence people at distance by controlling and working with the appropriate energy lines and fields is based on this phenomenon.

In tantra, the main principle is that ‘everything is connected with everything is connected with everything else’ therefore, all is really one. Probably, Voodoo is practised in Africa on the same basis. So, through our own space, we are already connected with the whole world. Which of our five Koshas, we are established into, is influenced or decided by the space of our building.

If we use our space wisely and align it perfectly with the universal space, then we can create the desired growth in life. Discriminative actions in the world are a result of ignorance. When we draw a dividing line saying that someone is separate from me, it is just like saying that ‘water on this side of the sea is a particular water and the water on the other side of the sea is some other water’.

Depending upon the climate or other geological or geographical factors, the water may change colour. If we touch this water, we touch all the waters on the planet, because they are all connected. The same applies to earth energy fields - if we touch one power field, it means we are touching all the similar energy fields in the whole universe.

Based on this principle, methods of distance dealing were developed. A few years back, while surfing the internet, I saw one website where scientists conducted an experiment. A healer in China sent distance healing to a person in California, USA. The person in California responded to the distance healing. The changes appearing in the E.E.G machine that was attached to his scalp were indicating the effectiveness of this healing method. This clearly shows that the healing arts of similar processes exist because all the fields are connected with each other.

Many sub-fields are connected through earth energy lines that lay crisscrossed on the planet like a web. It is spread over the whole earth. The same type of energy line pattern and field pattern is inside the human brain also. All the neuron pathways are well connected with each other. They make new pathways, when required. Likewise, energy lines on the planet are spread all over the globe.

That is why when we do MahaVastu for export houses, they attract buyers from around the globe. If a piece or product is created in a perfectly aligned space, it will start selling. If the space configuration is disturbed, then this phenomenon does not happen. Because then the space of the building does not allow it to happen.

It is so amazing when I observe these coincidences in life. It is happening, and I am the observer. I wondered how these things happened; someone creates a product and there is another individual ready with a desire to purchase it. Finally, it turns into a deal.

Here, both of them earned profits - as a manufacturer of a product and a buyer of a product. Desires of the two individuals stuck the deal in perfectly aligned space. It clicked at the right time, both ended up with desired results, experiencing growth in life.

If nature has helped in creating something, then parallel to it, it is creating demand in mass consciousness also. The mind is continuously searching to fulfil its desires because the mind is a search engine, as I have said earlier. The continual search by the mind is in the form of an effort for materialization of some idea. The cycle is so perfect and holistic that it connects to the Joy body of many others, beneficially,

It is a cycle of nature and it is well connected, too. If you sit on the top of a mountain and observe all those fields, all those energy lines (this is a hypothetical situation, just to make this concept clear), then what do you see?

A person in India is interacting with, let us say, a blue field. (A blue field is an idea to make something). There is another person in the United States; he also crosses the blue field and desire is created in him. There is a desire to create and parallelly, there exists a desire to buy. This makes it evident that nature is simultaneously working amongst all energy fields. Therefore, all the fields are global in nature and extant.

Using the same analogy, all of the communication systems, information technology and internet are developed. The mind conceived the idea from somewhere; for years together, it worked on converting the idea into a physical reality. 

Today, the physical reality is there in the form of internet or mobile telephone communications. So if we have any desire, there is a demand. If we want to create something, there is a demand to buy whatever we create.

The creation may be distorted due to improper space combination or an improper design of the building. If space is perfectly aligned and we create something, we get connected to its buyer much faster. Similarly, if we want to buy or get something, and we are in a perfect space, we acquire it very quickly.

If the three Koshas (Ananmaya, Pranmaya and Manomaya) are properly organized then it facilitates the awakening of Vigyanmaya and Anandmaya Koshas. This, in turn, facilitates all our work and growth.

It works both ways. Whatever fields or connections are there in the universe, all are present in our home too. We just need to be aware of it and utilize this energy phenomenon for creating the growth we desire.

The most widely held misconception about vastu is that you should have complete faith in it to reap its amazing benefits. The fact, however, is that vastu is a completely scientific discipline. Like other science, the outcomes of MahaVastu techniques are not affected by your lack of faith in them.

If you touch a live wire what will happen? You will get a shock. You trust in God, but you do not trust electricity. Touch the live wire and there is an instant reaction. It is so simple. It is not a matter of belief; even if the family of the scientist who invented electricity touched the live wire the reaction would be the same. No mercy for its inventors.

Since time immemorial, man has been conscious of the tremendous influences that nature and earth exert in shaping his life. That is why, in all the inquisitive and scientific temperament, he developed through meditation, intuition and systematic observation, an understanding of the energies associated with the earth.

The directions of their flow and how these earth energies influence him have been codified into knowledge bases; and on the basis of this knowledge, he developed vastu - the science of planning building of all kinds.

The sole aim of MahaVastu is to help a building achieve the purpose for which it has been built. Clearly, MahaVastu is concerned with the flow of earth energies, which does  not necessarily require our faith. The location and position of toilers holds great importance, as toilets reduce the strength of the zone if incorrectly located.
